The process begins with a psychosocial history form and behavior rating forms completed by parents or caregivers, followed by an intake meeting to gather background information and developmental history. With consent, we also communicate with the school to obtain additional information, including teacher-completed forms. When appropriate, we may conduct a school observation prior to the first testing session. We also coordinate with any current mental health providers involved in the client’s care.

Testing is spread across a few sessions to ensure each child can bring their best effort and focus. We are mindful of energy and attention throughout — building in breaks as needed and pacing the work to get the most accurate picture possible. Many families choose weekend sessions to avoid missing school.

Once testing is complete, it typically takes approximately one month to score the results, integrate the findings, and prepare the report. We then schedule a virtual feedback session where we review the findings and recommendations with families in detail and discuss next steps. We also provide feedback directly to children and adolescents, tailoring the conversation to their developmental level so they can better understand their strengths, areas of challenge, and how to use the information in a positive and meaningful way.

We are an out-of-network provider and do not participate directly with insurance plans. Many clients are able to obtain partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. We provide superbills that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement.
Before scheduling an evaluation, we recommend contacting your insurance company to inquire about your out-of-network benefits for psychological and neuropsychological testing, as coverage varies by plan.

Yes. Neuropsychological evaluations are often used to support requests for educational services, accommodations, and other school-based supports. Depending on the findings, the evaluation may provide documentation relevant to IEP eligibility, 504 plans, standardized testing accommodations, and accommodations at the college or university level.
In addition to identifying areas of need, we provide individualized recommendations designed to help students access their learning environment and demonstrate their abilities more effectively. Our evaluations are informed by extensive experience with the documentation standards commonly used by schools, colleges, universities, and testing agencies when reviewing accommodation requests.iption
